In the words of Eric Cartman: KICK ASS!!!!!!

That's a major improvement. I'm downloading them right now! I can't wait to try them out with my GF2 MX when I get it! Thanks Piano Man! :)

I'm at Nvidia's web site right now but all I see are the 5.22 drivers. Does anyone have a link to the 5.30 ones? Thanks.

Hmm, I see what you mean Prod, but how can a 100% improvement in 3dMark turn into no improvement in quake 3? Just doesn't seem right. Maybe older games should be tested?

To make a link just write [L ]http://whatever.com [/L ] without the spaces.

I just read the article over at FiringSquad. The only improvement was in 3Dmark2000, but there was none in Quake3. Maybe they're more direct3D friendly than OpenGL, but I doupt it. If they only improve a syntheitc benchmark then they kinda suck. Oh well, I still think that Nvidia has the best driver support.

Notice they didn't try any other game. NFS4 got a huge improvement in 1024x768 2x Fsaa in Motorcross madness 2. his benchmakrs went from roughly 12 to 20 or something like htat.

So it isn't only synthetic benchmarks... My 1024x768 NHL2k 2xFsaa is much smoohter with 5.30 Fsaa in win2k vs 5.22 FSAA.

how is 3DMark2000 a synthetic benchmark?? Its really computing the graphics its showing... earlier versions of 3DMark were, but 2000 is just the same as running a game minus the AI.
