MTVLAN Webpage

When: August 4-5
Time: Doors open at 6PM and we close at 10AM
Where: Mt. Vernon, Illinois - Prince of Peace Church
Map of Illinois and location of Mt. Vernon in relation to the rest of IL

Price: $5 at a door per computer, $2 per bottle of bawls(optional cost), $5 for half of a large Domino's Pizza(optional cost)

We are FULL Gigabit backbone. Only about 15 non gigabit ports.

Mt. Vernon Illinois is about 1 1/2 hours east of St. Louis and 4 hours south of Chicago. There are MANY hotels in the area.

We do not allow alcohol inside the venue. Other rules are available HERE. Our main rule is to respect the facility because it is a church and to not be stupid. VERY easy to follow and very easy crowd to get along with.

We usually have about 80 computers and are looking to see if we can break 100.

Any other questions just send me a message or post in the thread.

Most Played Games
BF2
BF1942 & Desert Combat Mod
UT2k4
CS:S
and whatever game you can get an interest flowing for. Starcraft has not been beneath us.

If the majority of people are Cardinals fans, it's not Illinois.

And that's pretty much anything past Peoria.

no... we usually have about 80 in attendance... that's hard to do in a basement.

it's mostly friends but word of mouth is a big portion of our advertisement.

Why'd you schedule laclede's lan 11 when MTVLAN scheduled? haha

we scheduled ours about 2 months ago... we're having a 250 person lan with some pretty big prizes. when your lan's over, you should hit up ours :) you don't have to pay for food or anything.

I'll be sure to mention your lan to those that attend ours since it gets over well before yours ends

why don't you guys have a forum/messageboard?

there's a local caterer who's providing us food and we're making pancakes for everyone for breakfast on saturday morning.

we really appreciate you spreading the word :)

Aloha Eric,

Was sifting through the forums, and stumbled on your post.
Props on the LAN, wish I could make it, hope its the biggest yet assuming you have power back.
Otherwise hook everything up to a treadmill, stick Brian on there and dangle a new Conroe chip in front of him.

how typical is this , the top row of pictures on the far right , the guys with the big widescreens at the event. If I had a monitor like that , I don't know if I'd bring it to a Lan party.
You gotta give mad props to someone with that though.

You guys need to invite more women. Kinda looks like a sausage feast. My inner geeks says: "darn thats cool".. my outer self says: "woa, look at all the nerds!!" J/k I would join you guys (I like UT2004) but I live in Chicago .. good luck though.

You would think us chicagoans would realize that if we don't recognize the name of the town it's likely in that void called Southern and Central IL.
