it was about 30-45 minutes of setup time because of where we got our connection

since all we need is patches we can get those before the LAN and burn DVD's with all the patches needed on them or host an internal webpage to download the patches from one of our severs... just easier and only 5 minutes of setup time
 
hey, whats the latest we can get there? We have a school function thatll go to about 8 or 9...but itll be quite a drive before we get there...how late can we show up?
 
you can show up whenever you please... price is still $5 per machine however the pizza may be ordered by then (probably will be)

when you get there i'm on the staff and have an ID card with Zinc as an alias... I also play under and respond to EMPshockwave

alright, we will prolly just do that then. We can get our own food or whatever if we need to. Are ppl free to come and go as they please if they have already paid?

At first i thought this was in vernon hills - i got all excited because i thought this was only 15 minutes away from where i work and where we're hosting a 400 seat event this june - but google maps put me back in place... 5 hours away on the other side of the state 🙁 Post here when you're done recuperating from the lan - i want to hear all about how it went. AND BRING PICS!!! 😀
 
LAN went great.... first time i've had to leave early because of family obligation at a wedding in northern illinois

Desert combat tourney was 4 x 12 person teams.. ended up with about 60 in attendance and no one from anandtech despite the several people who said they would be coming... grrrr

Pics are not available to me just yet because of an issue with the camera and it not being mine but i will post them whenever i get a chance
 
i definitely want lan pics and more details 😀 would any DC teams be interested in coming up to northern IL for another DC tourney? 😀
