It's time for another MTVLAN LAN party. They are always a good time and just trying to get some attendance from ATOT for once. You people keep saying you will come and no one ever shows up. 🙁

EDIT: ****This is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) party. Bring your computer and everything that goes with it. Network cable is supplied. Dont forget your keyboard, mouse, power cord, mouse pad, monitor, or computer. We have limited quantities of some of those items but not many of any one particular thing.



WHEN: August 12 @ 6pm doors open THROUGH August 13 @ 10AM

Where: Prince of Peace Church Mt. Vernon, IL - Gym

Why: Fun and fragging for all

Price: $5 per computer, $2 per bottle of bawls. You may bring your own food and drink but selling it will get us angry and get you out the door
$5 for 1/2 of a large dominos pizza 1 topping (optional)

Expected Attendance: 80

That I know of we dont have any extra computers laying around. If there are they belong to others and may be able to use throughout the night as per their permission. Secondly we do not provide the games to be played. No MTVLAN staff member is responsable for any computer in the building other than their own. What is on your computer is YOUR business. Not ours. Nothing illegal will be supplied by the MTVLAN staff. CD KEYS, NO CD CRACKS, and any other game "hacking" or "cracking" will not be facilitated by our staff.

If you need more of a disclaimer just ask for one

If you want to drink there are bars in town and there are cabs available. Come in wasted and you'll be thrown out. Too much money in 1 room to let drunkies roam. However drinking is not allowed inside the venue due to the churches policies. I wish I could drink while gaming also but sadly we cant at the venue we choose.

P.S. we choose the venue every time because it has an ABUNDANCE of power sources and an abundance of room. both needed for BYOC (bring your own computer) parties

We have been doing this for about 7 summers now I think. We do 3 every summer and 1 at christmas time. August and December are always the biggest. We are working on organizing a tournament and are having trouble deciding what the tourney should be and the settings of that game.

I don't even drink anyway. I've been clean and sober for 6 months. Sorry, I just couldn't resist.
 
Fast food is cheap. Lots of restaurants in the area also. Steak and Shake, Hardee's, McDonalds, Quiznos, Subway, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Wendys, Burger King, Denny's, Sonic, Dairy Queen to name a few that I can remember off the top of my head.

Yes, I think every state has a Mt. Vernon. This one happens to be in Illinois.

MTV isnt for Music Television in our case. MTV stands for MT. Vernon. Just a clever play on words to help advertise for ourselves and help people remember the name better.

hmm I might do it.. my g/f lives in springfield IL, Ill just you know... sneak away. I think her grandparents are moving to Mt. Vernon
