MTV1 AND 2 Suck

I was happy when MTV2 came out, due to the fact MTV had turned into a "lifestyle channel" instead of a music channel. I like watching videos, and finally they had a station that was going to be all videos, all the time.

Now, whenever I turn it on, the same Pimp My Ride is on... the one with that dork and his Orange pickup with a pingpong table in the back. Also, that Battlegrounds basketball crap is on... Even VH1 is all about shows and not about music... For the past week or so, it's all been I LOVE THE 90s, which in itself isnt bad, but I WANT MY VIDEOS

They should make a network to challenge MTV. That plays MUSIC VIDEOS.

MTV has sucked for over a decade now. I still can not understand how they can stay on the air.

Do bands/groups even make videos anymore?

Another who agrees so called music channels are now anything but. However, if you're looking for teen angst, endless sexual innuendos or outright sluts there is always a "reality" slow to suit your fancy on MTV. As you said VH1 has gotten just as bad but thankfully they still cater to a different crowd.

MTV has truly fallen from grace in my opinion. I rarely watch it anymore.

I must say i missed those good old days where they play mostly music video.

Agreed, M2 though had me hoping that it would stop them from sucking... but major suckage has insued.
I dont see the point of making a video, all you need to do is have a hit song, and record about 30 seconds of a 'video' that they can show on that TRL thing.

Or TLC or Discovery Channel only having on Home and Garden TV crap on.
Or the SciFi channel playing way too much Horror/Comedy/Drama movies instead of actual SciFi. Its getting rediculous on TV. All channels are straying from their origional intent to save money.

Oh yeah....and what videos that MTV does show, they have Teens screaming how much they love the video during more than half of it in a Picture in Picture window and only show 30 seconds of the whole video. Freaking Dumbasses.

In the evenings at our house well flip to fuse or mtv2 for an hour or so.
at least one of the channels will have some kind of top rock countdown, rock music show like rockzilla, etc
If not then we turn to the digital music channel..........no video just music
or more likely we just pop in a CD

I dont think I get fuse, I'm on Comcast Digital

I loved MTV in the 80's... Now, I'm annoyed that I pay for it as part of my cable package. I wonder if they have a package where I only get the premium movie channels, weather channel, and discovery channels?
