I am unhappy with MTV 🙁

i know, i know...I shouldn't be surprised. and I'm all for a little smut and stupidity every once in a while....but the political censorship thing was interesting....and really- to see an entire video on MTV would be a miracle.
 
I just started to really notice the censorship thing though- especially the banning of videos...that's a more recent phenomenon, no?
 
As far as I know, signed a petition about it a week ago against MTV banning some videos. I personally think it's crap, MTV shows everything else aka soft Pr0n, why can't they show a friggn' video....(christinia aguelra much)

MTV sucks anyway. I don't watch much tv btw...unless it's Sienfeld

MTV has sucked since the early to mid 90's....I don't think I've actually watched that channel since they took Headbanger's Ball off...
 
Yea, I agree...it's been bad for a long time. I'm a little slow on the uptake. But it was such a good idea in the beginning. I wish i had MTV2.

I wonder what other videos have been banned....it drives me nuts! They can't show Madonna acting out fictitious violence in a video, but they can show jackass...over and over and over and over...

Now they got all these "ALL ROCK WEEKEND" BS shows with all these fluff image whore wanna be metal bands. It's all about $$ and not about the music anymore. MTV died a long time ago. MTV2 is a bit better, but still it's starting to suffer. Eh who cares, I don't watch MTV anymore.

That's why I watch VH1 Classics. Every night they have a Rock Fest show for an hour. Then on Saturday afternoons and Sunday night's they have Metal Mania for an hour. Super 70's is also cool as hell but I never seem to be able to remember when it comes on.
 
I miss the music videos...I haven't seen a whole one in like 4 years (not cut off and not overrun by stupid people talking about the video while its playing)
"Blah BLah I love this video because blah blah OMG!! Blah Blah Blah" When TF did they ever get to see the whole thing to like it so much? LOL
Only show I miss is Beavis and Butthead. 🙁

Yeah, I don't understand. They show "Real World", which is all about people have sex. Then, they ban videos? And I swear, if you don't watch MTV for like six months, then watch it again....guess what....SAME MUSIC!!!! (Brittney, BackDoor Boys, Ludacris, etc.) God, that Hip-Hop....OH MAN, it kills me.

Anyone actually listened to a rapper lately? God, they sound SOOO IGNORANT. Why do we have kids that are TRYING to be like them?

Dont quote me on this but I think at one point those rappers werent quite so ignorant, however they have declined because of those kids trying to be like them some of those kids became ignorant rappers.

But I dont listen to rap.

Haven't watched it much since Headbangers Ball (and it was sucking in the later years, give me a break, Aerosmith might be a good band but they dont belong on Headbangers Ball).

They've been sucking since they decided to try an do TV Shows rather than videos
 
I last watched MTV when Martha Quinn was a regular. Nothing but videos. I thinkk that was around 1982 or so. There was only a couple dozen videos it seemed like. My favorite was the "fish heads" song.

"Eat 'em up, yum!" That was hilarious!

Anyone else seen that one?
