I noticed that in Tucson AZ they have the glass bottles of pepsi that are 'from mexico'. They taste much better simply because instead of high fructose corn syrup they have white gold...real sugar.

Well there is your answer. Your taste buds are officially screwed, because Diet Dew, to me, doesn't have a bad aftertaste. In fact, once you get used to the taste of diet, the high test Dew tastes odd and it has the consistency of syrup.

I remember glass bottles from when I was little. My granny used to keep the fridge stocked with them. Soda was a treat, so I loved visiting her. She was an excellent cook and a wonderful person.

I agree, pop = treat

Yep - it's too bad that so many people think pop=water.

lol, its true, but diet pop isint really that bad for you, except for the whole cancer thing sometimes, but there are some exceptions

Aaarghghghggh

Stop calling soda 'pop'!

Sorry...just couldn't control myself, go back to your normal business midwesterners.

:cool::p

And when I get soda I usually choose coke, because it isn't sweet as pepsi. I think HFCS is the devil, and is in some way related to the 'puffiness' of America today. I am just waiting on science to confirm that our bodies just don't really know how to deal with it.

I couldn't agree more.
Drinking coke or whatever from a glass bottle was so much better than drinking stuff from plastic.
I haven't seen the good old bottles since 1992 or so :(...

Pop is not really a yankee thing. In the northeast, at least where I am from (New Jersey/New York) it is soda. Pop, to me, is a midwest thing.

Yeah..I just found that out.

And bah, Charlotte is barely part of the south anymore. I don't think one southerner lives on my street.
