If I took the rares out of a booster box, what are the remaining cards worth in bulk? (newer blocks)

Just trying to get a close estimate. I was thinking $0.05/card myself, which is ~$19.

Its ~1800 cards. I just don't want to rip off my buddy, this is more a a sanity check, I'm not selling anything.
