Anyone had or even seen this yet? We just got it in where I work and I have to say - it's definitely interesting. It's black-grape flavored.

The soda looks black, but when you pour it, it's more of a purple with some crazy blue fizz...kinda weird 😀 :beer:

where do i buy online? i am overseas and i miss my tropical sprite remixes, the closest thing to "remixed" domestic sodas here is mt dew livewire, which is always on sale because its so old.

id like to buy a case or two just to show my friends here.
 
No word on how much caffeine is in it, but there's 31g of Sugars * 2.5 Servings~

I don't believe it's even available online yet as I haven't even seen it in stores, and as for Sprite Tropical, I like the Berry Remix better 😀

I'll have to try that... I see on the Taco Bell cups they advertise a new flavor of Mountain Dew, it's not the Pitch Black though, some green color IIRC.

I doubt it will be on the market for very long. I remember taking a consumer behavior course and this same topic was brought up. Since the consumer is accustomed to the flavor of Mt. Dew, and the color of the drink, people will be turned off by something that doesn't "look" appetizing.

Remember clear Pepsi? Just a memory now.
 
I happened to see it at a store this morning and bought a bottle.

I like Mountain Dew. I like grape soda. I do not like Mountain Dew Pitch Black.

It's basically just regular mountain dew, dyed purple, with some grape flavoring, and the 2 flavors don't mix very well in my opinion
 
Haven't tried pitch black, but I didn't like Baja Blast. It kind of tasted like diluted Code Red with just a slight hint of imitation lime flavor.

If they were smart they'd bring back Crystal Pepsi. I'm sure it would sell better than these new concoctions due to the nostalgia factor alone. Plus, I vaugely remember it being quite tasty.
