This service is running with 100% of my cpu time. It has never done this before and I can't end it. Any ideas?

I dont know what it is doing.

Actually the one you refer to is taskmgr.exe.

mstask.exe, this is the task scheduler service, responsible for running tasks at a time predetermined by the user.

I'm not sure why it's showing 100% usage though. Have you tried stopping and restarting the service???

About the 100% usage though, is the task manager setup to manage anything right now?
