I don't recall Erin Burnett being suspended when she called Bush a chimp either not that it matters as I learned by age 6 that justifying my bad actions by pointing to others bad actions was not a valid justification for anything.

Then why did you start this thread?

1. The President being called a dick on the air is both politics and news.
2. The fact that he was called a dick on a network and show generally friendly to him is also both politics and news.

Any other questions?

Using language like this could open them up for big fines under the obsenity rules. That might be ok in your living room if you disagree with someone's actions, but in public or polite conversation, it should not be tolerated. Now calling him a Baby killing communist might be more appropriate. The number of times that liberals have called Bush a Baby killer pales in comparison.

Conservative Slime: MSNBC is TEH LIBURALZ!!! Oh noez!!! wat,... they call Obummer a dick?! LOLZ I lovez teh MSNBC!!!shift+1!!!!!

I'm not sure why MSNBC has Halperin on staff. As far as I'm concerned he's always been a stealth right wing hack.

LOL, your like an old lady spreading gossip about someone she doesn't like.

At the rate they are going they won't have anyone left.

Why is it that every time someone says something stupid and gets suspended its from MSNBC?

Their 7 second delay only works when it wants or the peeps on MSNBC are crazed lunatics take your pick.

You obviously don't watch Morning Joe. Joe Scarborough is a former GOP Congressman who goes on a rant against Obama about every 45 minutes.

So MSNBC should be a homogeneous group of liberal obama yes men more than it is now? Would they ask The pres if he was a Flake?

So news to you = Political biased talking points? See this is a how a "realist" Lib thinks.

Story I heard was a new producer didn't know how to use it. Scarborough called for it to be bleeped, no one in the booth could figure out how to do so.

Of course he doesn't watch Morning Joe. No one does.

MSNBC has their token Republican commentators/analysts... Joe Scarborough, Pat Buchanan, Michael Steele. I'm sure there's others.

That is nuts, I could possibly see a slim chance that he would decide to not run for a second term. Slim is the operative word though as he is burning up a hell of a lot of JP5 running around the country in that 747 non-corporate jet fundraising for the upcoming campaign.

Serious question -

With all the campaigning that Obama's doing, what happens to the money he raises if he decides to not seek a second term? Does he keep it? Does he turn it over to the DNC?

Anyone watch Jon Stewart last night? Hilarious!

I don't approve of what you are saying 🙂

The only thing we know for sure is that the money should be put toward:

1. Paying for paper, ink, pens, and time for the next president to write executive orders revoking anything this dipshit and his cronies, including those in the senate/congress, passed while in office.
2. Paying back the massive amount of debt he and his cronies decided to shit onto the American people to fuck the country.

The real issue is that he's passed off as being a moderate centrist. I don't see it from his past comments while working for ABC. If he was billed as right of center I would have no problem with it.

lol @ those comparing MSNBC's and Fox's "integrity" or in general based on fines/suspensions for things that were slipped on air.

HomerJS is in a perpetual Fox News rage. I honestly think he has nightmares about FNC. Keep an eye on his posts here in P&N, he mentions Fox News in at least half of them. I get a kick out of it, he's fucking nuts.

Yeah, the guy who ordered ABC News not to reflexively hold the Bush and Kerry campaigns equally responsible for distortion because Kerry's distortion weren't key to his election strategy is "right of center".

There are rules covering this. A candidate is prohibited from converting political campaign contributions to his/her own personal funds. IIRC, they must either return the contributions to the donors or transfer them to a similar campaign fund for the party or other candidate.

Now THAT'S stimulus that I can believe in.
