No doubt. However in my experience, those "[year] in Pictures" features usually only showcase the bad stuff. Where were the pictures of Katrina refugees moving into their new houses, or the homecoming ceremonies for Iraq war vets? Instead we get National Guard cardboard cutouts and men on fire.

I'm not saying that the latter isn't important, but there was a lot of the former in 2006 as well.
