WTC is still standing too... They could at leave have made sure it wasn't more than a few years old...

Maybe you'll be able to zoom in on Jesus' crucifiction once they do the Middle-East :p

Leave it to Microsoft to copy anything a competitor does, and fudge it good...

Umm...ever heard of terraserver.microsoft.com? Hello and welcome to 1998? (just a guess on the year, but it's been around forever)

Considering Google has no hi-res images that are even in my area, I'll take this! Old B&W pics > no images.

Wow, I just noticed that the NYC photos are from 1994. My building is not even there, not that I could tell from the grainy, low-res, B&W image :p

Searching the Los Angeles area (my place of birth) I note that the Satellite photos are OLD. More than 15 years old.

However, MS at least has semi-hi res pics of Springfield, IL. Google has none.

They also put street names on their sat. images. I don't think Google does that.

EDIT- LOL! Looks like Google respoded by added a "Hybrid" feature :)

Google Earth already did this. I liked the feature, but Google Earth's server speeds were horribly slow. I'm glad Google Maps added the feature.
