Really weird, i asked him a question, and later resumed the conversation, leaving the window open all the while, and asked him the question again, anyway he says something like 'fule, i already told you'...

To cut a tedious bit of typing short the end result is that MSN lost about three replies he sent me...now to my knowledge this has never happened to me before, you?

We both use the same ISP, live in the same city (Perth, WA), and both have broadband...

EDIT: dammit arvo=afternoon.

MSN uses UDP packets, nothing guarantees that any message you send will actually make it to the other side.

UDP = Best effort service

oh dug, you and your crazy words....

But this happens to a friend of mine w/ crappy wireless reception all the time on AIM. He'll be online, but can't recieve messages, then he'll go offline, and autosign back on a few seconds later, having recieved none of the messages. It has been a problem before.

Microsoft is an American company and doesn't care much about you Australians and your wacky mislaid conversations. ;)

It is an Australian slang word that means afternoon, and the '=' sign was supposed to indicate that they were equal, or if you like, meant the same thing...

Now have i explained it simply enough for you?

You must be in management. You have successfully explained to me all the things I DID already know about your statement in a condescending fashion, while failing to explain the only part I don't get. :p
HOW does one get "arvo" from afternoon?
