Hi,

My girlfriend has a old computer that she uses to type her homeworks on Word 97. When she told me she had an old computer, I thought about a P133 or something. To my surprise, she had a 486/DX-66 with a whooping 24MB of RAM. She has Windows 95 on it, and free slots for a network card.

I thought I could install MSN Messenger on her computer so we could chat when she's in school... but after checking on the MSN Messenger web site, it seems that it's not enough of a computer to install it.

What are some alternatives that I could install?

Whoa people still use 486 as their main machine? :Q You should really put like $200 for a lil upgrade there :p

Miranda is the best IMO. It is also best for old systems as it does use the least recources.
