I do as well. It's pissing me off. I don't know how to stop it. On a side note, I'm somewhat disappointed in Trillian. I paid for the pro version to support them and they haven't released anything new at all.

On a side note.

Everytime I try and close instant messanger I get a "Other applications are using windows messanger" notice.

A wanna get RID of this crap (Messanger) anyone know HOW to dissable it / remove it? And WHAT are the other aps using it? I've tried turning everything off (IE / outlook etc..) but still get this notice.

Search is your friend
Type:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
in the run box

I use Trillian and used to get several MSN spams a week. Eventually I got sick of it and went in to my preferences somewhere and set it to ignore anyone not on my contact list.

I found it again.

In Preferences -> MSN -> Privacy
Move "All other users" from your Allow List to your Block List.

It would appear so! It's not where you'd expect it to be, I was looking for a checkbox.

Ever since I started using MSN over a year ago, I have NEVER gotten any spam through it...
