I'm trying to connect with msn messanger and it fails. when i test the connection it fails at the port settings.

Is there a way to specify the port it can use independant of IE? it's tied to IE which is running a script here at work. I know which port is available but how do i set it?

Using a server PC or a gateway? Perhaps hardware firewall?

You need to enable the application ports for MSN Messenger when you have any problems. Ports for the MSN Messenger are 6901 & 6891 - 6900.
