Has anyone used Msi's 9800Pro solutions???
How do their stock performance and overclocking ability compare to Ati's own 9800 Pro solution and that of any other company......sapphire,Asus,etc.
Please reply soon and if possible, give links to any reviews or comparisons too.
Thanks everyone.

i believe msi use the r360 core in their 9800pros......so let the overclocking commence the 360 was the 9800xt core so u know itll be good for at least 400mhz

What about the memory? Will it give enough headway for potentially useful overclocking which will make some difference?

The MSI 9800 is silent. I have mine oc'd to XT speeds on a permanent basis (drivers say its a 9800XT anyway) and have had it up to 440/410 with no artifacts in the few games I play.

MSI has two models for the Radeon 9800PRO with different cooling solutions. Do both of them make noise or is it a problem with only one of them.
If so, please tell which model makes the noise and which doesn't.

R360 core --> http://www.msi.com.tw/program/...vga_detail.php?UID=576 --> noisy

There are two models:

1) RX9800PRO-TD128-------->noisy

2) RX9800PRO-TD128SP------>?????
http://www.msicomputer.com/pro...-TD128SP&class=vga

The second card has a different cooling fan and heat sink. Does it makes noise too?
Does it effects the cooling performance between the two?

The SP has ATI's reference design, it is as noisy (or not) as other 9800 Pros, just ask around. But bear in mind, the other version (green PCB) is not really "noisy", it makes a high pitched annoying sound, which is worse, at least for me :disgust:
