i turn the computer on, itll stay on for a second or two then shut down for a few seconds then start again and continue to post normally. its been suggested to me that the mb is shorting out from making contact with metal. any suggestions?
 
Try put 1 ram stick in one of the DIMMS (refer to the manual to decide which dimm slot to use) first. It should post. Enter the bios and change mem settings and shut down. Now add all the rams and turn it on.
