MSI Vs Asus

So the motherboard in my older system died the other day and I'm looking for a quick and cheap replacement. I've narrowed it down to two choices right now:

- MSI P41T-C31 (http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=prodmbspec&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=&cat3_no=&prod_no=1792)

- Asus P5KPL/EPU (http://uk.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=RkNdQD1DmfoN3JVw&templete=2)

Now I've previously stuck to Asus motherboards over the years the last time I used an MSI was well over 5 years ago and it was a terrible experience. The reviews I've read on these boards are somewhat limited and don't make any mention of installation issues or many of the other little things that can be a hassle.

There's about a 20 pound difference in price between the two boards, with the MSI one being the cheaper - so can anyone let me know if they've experienced any major problems with either board?

(if you would rather suggest a totally different board I'm open to suggestions aswell. It's an older system that doesn't need to be all singing all dancing - providing it's ATX and can support upto 4gb of ddr2 800, has on board NIC + sound, I'm not fussy.)
