msi underclocking?

my msi motherboard detects my processer a 1800+ when it is an 2500+. If i clock it to its original speed, will that be overclocking, or just setting it to the corect speed

Check it in your CMOS. It sounds like you have the FSB set to the default 100 MHz clock. If so, set it to the correct speed for your chip.
