MSI Radeon X1900 XT 289 After Rebate

That is a nice deal if the rebate works. I saw a similar XT deal for 289 after 100 rebate the other day, but it was an OEM, this is retail with I assume a longer warranty. I don't think any card in that $290 price range can even compete...this is only 25/50 away from ATI's flagship best card! (which still sells at many places for near $500)

Hot deal if you don't live in California...

If you look at the text of the rebat it applies to about 20 stores,I just happend to find it at ZZF, I'm sure they arnt ALL located in california.

I've been planning to get a Sapphire x1900xt, but the price on this MSI is very tempting. Anyone know anything about MSI quality, overclocking, etc.? You can get an OEM Sapphire for about $350. Is the Sapphire worth an extra $60?

WHat's the difference between the XTX and the XT? I ordered the XTX, buyt i'm not sure if I understand what the advantage is for $60 more.

Yeah, XTX cards are slightly faster than XTs. But you can easily overclock an XT to reach XTX speeds.

sort of....they run pretty darn hot..at stock my went to 79 degrees at load..i opened it up and put some arctic silver 5 on it and now it goes to 76 at load but still..i dont see much room for ocing with those kind of temps without a 3rd party solution ..and when you plop another 30-40 dollars on that it sort of makes the xtx seem more reasonable if you desire its speeds, if you dont care about that little bump then yea the xt is a much better deal

Any store out of CA has this price?

CA tax kills so many deals from newegg/buy.com/ZZF and more stores for me, oh well...

I'm not sure MSI pays rebates. I've been trying to get my rebate out of them from May 1st. They admit they received the form and they have not yet sent the check but no clue on when they will send it...

Actually those temps are quite good for an 1900 card, some people are getting high 80's - low 90's and that's supposed to be ok so I wouldn't worry about your temps. Oc'ing these cards is a must though because they give huge performance increases. If you can handle the extra heat and power constraints, it's worth it.

Consider getting an X2 Accelero like I did, was well worth the money for me.
