Does this have unlocked voltage, so you can adjust it in Afterburner for example?

I have heard of an MSI 7950 being locked at an absurd low voltage like 1000mv and I suspect it is this card. A BIOS flash might fix that, though. I read that you can only get 1000mhz out of the core at that voltage if you're lucky.

This is still a hot deal though and I would be in for two of them if I lived in the US.

My msi TF III was locked at 1000mv. Using Trixx can fix this but you're right, I only pulled about 1015mv at this voltage. Afterburner wouldn't late me change that. Basically it's a really good deal but I wouldn't be surprised if it's necessary to overvolt if you want a good OC.

OK wow much more enlightening review on the newegg website.

Looks like the voltage can go up to 1300, so that works for me. It's just that the single-fan cooler is not efficient enough to truly cut the mustard, so it makes sense if you want to overclock to put on a beefy cooler. I am 90% sure I'll order this tonight from newegg, just want to wait till after work to think on it. I mean come on, less that $180 for a voltage unlocked 7950? You can spend $30 bucks on a decent aftermarket cooler and still come out ahead.

Note: also appears to lack a VRM or memory cooler/heat spreader.

Expect to see more of this now the 9000 series is upon us. Prices have been marching down for a while now. When new product drops prices should drop even more. used 7950s and 7970 should take a tumble as well. If the drivers work a dual or triple 7950 setup less than 7970 launch price will make many happy people. Bet PSU sales jump to meet the power demands.

Ehh My mom received a $15 off NE code, Nephew needed a card, so I'm in for one for ~$163 (including $2 FW cash back)
