okay i know this is a problematic motherboard to begin with - mostly with the unknown cause processor initialzation failures (this is the exact problem i am getting)
after maybe 5-20 power cycles it will post but when i had it booted it hardlocks during scandisk/maxtor hd scans, does anyone have any clues as to what the hell is wrong with this board?
i've cleared cmos about 10 times with no fix (this fixed the problem the FIRST time)
it was gutted down to nothing and with no change, and as of right now everything is all disassembled
the power supply should be fine, its a 300W channel well, tbird 800 (unsure exactly which core but it shouldn't matter)
the computer was working fine, until i left for a few hours, came back and had the hardlock which started it all
i'd say that right now this motherboard may finally be dead.
