MSI P965 Neo-F....................

When I bought my Core 2 Duo System, there was no available Gigabyte mobo...The only options are MSI P965 Neo-F & ECS 965PT-A.......As I looked at the MSI website and their CPU suport list, it says that P965 Neo-F does not support E6300, only E6400 and above...

So I bought the ECS and hope for an upgrade when Gigabyte will be available....

But now I found out in the latest Anandtech Buyers Guide for September, in their Intel Midrange System, the pair the E6300 with the MSI P965 Neo-F mobo........

What the F***!!!!!!!!!!! I think Intel & MSI has a CONSIRACY in order that buyers who want to buy MSI, will buy the more expensive E6400 and not the E6300............

Obviously there is a conspiracy, because MSI profits when people buy Intel CPUs! :Q

the P965 was made to SUPPORT the core 2.....
If you have some proof that they said that.... call em up;.l

I didn't said that they said it...............

If you look at the MSI website.........and check the CPU support list of P965 Neo-F, you will see that the lowet Core 2 support is only E6400.....the E6300 is listed as "not supported".............and now, Anandtech is using the mobo with an E6300.......

Its pretty clear that MSI wanted users to buy E6400, because E6300 is listed as 'not supported" by the mobo but SECRETLY it does support..........

Supports Socket 775 for Intel® Pentium 4 3xx, 5xx, 6xx, 8xx, 9xx, Core 2 Duo processors.

You look at their CPU support page. The E6300 is completely omitted from ALL motherboards. Nowhere on MSI's page do they say the E6300 is not supported. The E6300 is omitted from the entire CPU Support List. E6300 = Core2 Duo Processor, the last time I checked.

What part of:

The E6300 is omitted from the entire CPU Support List do you not understand? Its not an MSI/Intel conspiracy. Its more MSI's incompetence for not including the E6300. I briefly looked at the other 965/975 boards. NONE of them had the E6300 on the list. The E6300 is completely omitted from the website. Now instead of taking the time to write 1 simple e-mail to MSI, asking whats up with E6300 support, you go on Anandtech and rave about a rediculous conspiracy theory.

Nevermind you dont google the 965 Neo where you get dozens of results of consumers with that board + E6300 running fine.

Well, no offense, but if you are on AT why didn't you post and ask first since the MSI is likely a lot better than ECS? Also logically, how could a board support E6400 and not E6300? The only difference is clock speed.
