I'm building my first PC and just ordered the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum from newegg. But after reading some threads, it looks like some people have had some problems with this board. I'm specifically referring to the board's incompatibility with certain PSU and RAM brands.

Since I'd like to avoid these problems, can you recommend some power supplies and memory sticks that have worked for you?

What problems have you read about about? I remember some deals with the Antec PSUs, but I fairly certain those have long since been fixed. I'm using a Powerstream with OCZ ram on mine. Depends what your system is, but I think you should be safe we just about anything now, however I would recommend some value ram (such as corsair value select). PC Power & Cooling and OCZ make excellent PSUs, but they are pricey.... I dunno what to suggest for a lower price limit.

I built a system using the Neo2. I also had read about people having problems with PSU, from what I could gather the general recommendation was that you need to have more than 20 Amps on your 12V rail.
I got a Antec Sonata case and the system has been running perfectly with the stock PSU (380W, 24A on 12V). I am not OCing and have a ATI 9250 card, 2HDD and a DVD burner. The system is rock solid ever since I powered it up the first time.
The memory I have is Corsair Value (512 x 2) and its been working well at 1T setting.

I am sure you'll love this board too.

I had a problem with that board and an older True380, but that was because it only had maybe 16A on the 12V rail. It shouldn't be a problem unless the PSU is a couple years old.

I'm using an Antec TrueBlue 480 watt PSU. The 12V rail has 28A. Never had any problems with this setup even with the CPU overclocked.
