Everything is hooked up properly, it POSTS and after the windows loading screen it just restarts. In an endless cycle!! What's going on? Someone please help.''

The hard drive already has a system on it. I only changed the mobo and cpu for my system. What is going on!!

Not only that but it detects my 3200 corsair value select as ddr333

what cpu and mobo did you originally have and what cpu did you switch to?

try 1 stick of RAM and see if that helps.

Try switching back to the old combo.

You might need to flash the bios on the board if you are using a new 90 nm chip.

Yes, I am sorry. I had a p4c-800-e with p4 3.2, now i have a 90nm 3500+.

Very strange, when I used one stick, it detected it as 400... but still restarted after windows logo screen

try a fresh format and install and LMK if that helps.

The ram should work fine, make sure you use stock timings.

also, check the bios version of the board. You should flash it to 1.3 if it is not there already.

Try switching Dimms these MSI boards are quircky when it comes to memory placement. and check for command rate, maybe trying to use 2T would make it more stable? good luck

One more option is to go to the BIOS, highlight the cell menu, press shift + F2 then Alt + F3 then disable the nv/ati speedup (to all of those having problems with video overheating)

Your problem is not with the motherboard but with your OS.

If you switch motherboards XP will not boot - it will simply cycle boot after welcome screen.

What you need to do is to use your XP boot disk to repair/install XP again on yer partition if you don't want to loose any data.

Normally before replacing motherboards (if one is to keep the same HD) a utility called SYSPREP is supposed to be run to prepare for migration to new platform.
