234x11=2574mhz 1.47v w/ 216(433ddr ratio)......

unfortunately logic says that (216/200)=1.08/11(multi) = 10.18....round up and it is back to 11 so at this point it is no better then 1:1....

I will try 233 which should give me a 515ddr.....

Looks like I was a few days ahead of the game...LOL!! i am sure Anand wrote this long before....Just some proof that unofficial official new ddr dupport is here....500 cannot be achieved without ocing but pretty damn close....

Just noticed on MSI's CPU Support page that the Neo2 is showing it's working with all X2 multipiers now. I guess the BIOS release should happen any time now. I'm hoping they thought ahead and included multipier support for the 3800+ also (assuming it's not a myth).

But 1.8 bios still only sees one core

Looks like MSI posts what's about to be released on this page, not necessarily what the BIOS posted on the page supports. Last time I checked a couple of days ago it reported that the 4400 & 4800 were "OK" but 4200 & 4600 were "None".

I take what I said back. The 1.A3 bios did not solve the agp problem I'm having with any of the 1.9 or 1.A3 bios's. 1.8 works fine. I have slow graphics on bf1942 forgotten hope online and lockups in single player mode after playing for a little bit with 1.9 and 1.A3.

I too have a problem with any of the new bios' and my agp vid card. I watch alot of HDTV clips. But since installing the x2 4400, Ive been having visual "anomolies". It must be the beta bios. I sure hope it aint the cpu.

What to do? Doesnt going back to the 1.8 bios bring you back to a single core on the cpu?

I don't, but it sucks that we can't use the second core without problems. I'm staying with 1.8 until there's an official release.

I just received a refurbished Neo2 mobo for $64 from NewEgg, had it installed, and it had the official 1.9 BIOS on it. Dated 7/8, I believe.

It does have the 216, 233, and 250 RAM dividers.

Its screen displays are a little sloppy too. Still testing and investigating....

Has anyone tried the 1.9Bios yet? Any idea if the NVRAID is stable on this one. It had a lot of problems in 1.8

I am running the 1.9 that was available some time ago, and I setup my RAID with it. Everything seems to be running fine so I would say it is good.

1.9 is running fine here. The only problem I've found (so far) is that the NVMonitor application now fails to load, complaining about no bios support. The other NTune applications seem to be unaffected. Core Center seems to work fine as well.

I noticed a very slight drop in my Sandra memory bandwidth scores. I've gone from 6490/6422 to 6475/6379 on my 3500 running at 11 x 220. No other benchmarks seem to be affected.

Edit: After playing with it for a while I found another problem. Sometimes on restart (XP) the bios would not initialize and I would have to press the reset button to boot. Since I don't have a dual core processor, I've decided to go back to the 1.8 bios. Maybe by the time I move to an X2 there will be a newer/better bios version. It's good to know that I have the option to move to an X2 though...

Sorry for bumping an old thread :D
I'm running a Neo2 with the official 1.9 bios and a 4400. Everything is smooth except for the USB ports. My ports don't get detected as USB2 ports, so I get the "Hi-Speed USB Device Plugged into non-Hi-Speed USB Hub" message when using my Cruzer.

Things I've tried:
Updated to SP2 (already had SP1 which should have worked)
Got latest nforce drivers.
Updating the drivers manually in the device manager
RMA board(for a different reason) New board is the same.
Beta bios 1.98b, 1.A3, 1.95b

Looking back at the MSI manual(section 3-13 for anyone who has it) the bios is arranged differently with options to enable USB 2.0. In the 1.9 bios, there's just an option to enable or disable USB, no mention of 2.0.

Is this happening with anyone else and do you have an option in the bios to enable 2?

I'll give MSI a call tommorrow and see whats going on.

mark or duvie, if I may ask a semi-off-topic question... What's the absolute lowest for a PSU that can power an X2 of any model/speed (from 3800+ to 4800+)? I just dropped for an X2 3800+ setup and will be joining you guys on the Neo2 bandwagon. I plan on using the old PSU (Enermax EG465P-VE, spec'd at 430W) with this and would like to know if this ol' baby can still power a monster.

I'm running my X2 4400@2560 on an Antec 380 watt True power. If I had a better video card, I would need a 430 (duvie's 4400 that I sold him was running on my other system with a 6800GT, and wouldn;t do 3d until I swapped the 380 for a 430)

It doesn't but I have never installed the usb2 drivers from the mobo disc....so I wouldn't put much stock in my findings....I run a usb printer, occasionally a scanner, occasionally a joystick, and that is it....I dont use external devices like HDDsor DVD-drives that need that type of throughput...sorry....

Yup, USB 2.0 Root hub listed....
1.9 official bios.

Multipliers don't work, arg, but other than that, fine.
