I was using the 12v supply for the cpu fan but when switching back to teh sanyo denki fan I plugged it into the FAN 1 on teh MB and it didnt work. Fan2 is working fine. Is this just a bad power supply or is my MB bust?
 
You probably burned out the header for Fan 1. Nothing you can do about it. Don't use high RPM fans on the motherboard headers, use the PSU instead.
