Help, I just bought a K8V Neo Platinum M/B, an AMD Athlon 3400+ CPU, and 2 sticks of GEIL - DDRAM 512 PC-4000 GL5124000P RTL. I moved my ATI All-in Wonder Radeon - 7500 from my old computer to this new motheboard.

My problem (I think) lies in either the ram or the video card? The computer powers on but I have a black screen "message no-signal" and no POST. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you getting fan power? Any POST errors? Sounds like you forgot or didn't seat the +12v 4-pin conenctor to the mobo as well as the big standard connector.

Try remounting your HS/F - I know this sounds stupid, but my K8N Platinum refused to post and then I flipped the HS/F around 180 and it fired right up (and I still dont't see how its possible to mount it backwards)

Did your board come with the D-Led?

Yes I got fan power I checked the +12v 4 pin connection and it was tight and the big standard connector is locked into its recepticle. While I was waiting for some help I read the Tech booklet and they don't list any All-in Wonder boards at all. I like to play good graphic games and when I'm doing work I like to have the ability to bring up the TV. Any suggestions on a compatible board that can do both?

I haven't tried flipping the HS/F around 180 and answering your 2nd post Yes there was D connector that had 4 led's on it and 2 USB ports.

EngenZerO install the dbracket and see what leds are red.

I have installed it. To try the suggestions of"

einsig, Rent and yourself I will have to shut this computer down for some time to swap components to the new one.

I really appreciate all the suggestions

Yesterday I read on another site to install one device at a time. That worked because when I took out all the excess hardware (not needed to get computer running) I noticed the back end of my SCSI card (which is as log as a good video card) was touching the northbridge? heat sink. Moved it to the next PCI slot down and the computer powered up.

Thanks again everybody for your inputs.

Wow, see problems aren't always just the mobo's fault. Good call on tackling the problem rationally and in logical steps.

Good way to troubleshoot. I have built a ton of PCs and the motherboard is only bad about 2% of the time.
