MSI K8N NEO4 Platinum SLI issues?

carage

I was wondering if anyone has any serious issues with this board?
I plan to get one before the end of the month, and I decided the DFI UT SLI is too flashy for me, especially because I don't have a glass panel on my case anyway.

I had some serious beef with MSI nForce2 offering (K7N2-Delta L) in the past, namely BIOS/stability issues, and for that I have decided to stay away from MSI during the nForce3 round.
Anyone has problems with this board?
The integerated Live! 24 doesn't really mean anything to me, so I hope it is easy to disable.
I am also skeptical about the VIA 1394 controller as I have heard some compatibility issues in the past, although I hardly use FireWire stuff anyway.
I also got a Plextor 716-S which is a real PITA when it comes to SATA controller compatibility, hope that works too. Anyone with experience on that?

U might be better off asking on the MSI forums for these kind of specific questions.

Thanks, but the problem with that is that usually only those with problems would show up in support forums.

I would avoid the MSI K8N NEO 4 SLI Platinum. I am on my third RMA in less than 1 mo. They just do not seem to be able to get it right. Maybe newer versions of this board might work ok but it is a never ending saga of upgrades and non performance with this board. Some problems supposeldy fixed include: Could not fit dual video cards in SLI slit, non working blaster due to requirement of single rail PSU; bios not accepting X2; buggy usb headers. Non stop parade of new bios. GEt another brand like DFI.
