MSI K8N Neo2 + SATA = DiskCheck on Restart w/XP?

OK, I'm a little confused. I have an MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum and am experiencing some odd behavior relating to "restarting" the system and DiskCheck almost always running on Windows Startup. I can't pinpoint when it happens, but I do know that this is happening WAY too frequently?

Here is my hardware which I have yet to get completely stable:

MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
Athlon 64 3500+ 90nm
TWINX1024-3200XLPT (2-2-2-5-1T, 2.70v)
BFG 6800GT OC
2x WD Raptor 74GB SATA Drives
2x LiteOn DVD/DVD-R drives
Floppy Drive

Any help would be appreciated. I did find a bad memory module last week, so Corsair sent me out some new ones. Now, when I get is a lockup, eventually, when doing some rather elementary tasks. 3DMark05 runs fine every time at this point, whereas with the bad memory it would not complete 1x using 2-2-2-5-1T memory timings.

Are you using SATA3 or SATA4 ?
They are the ones between the cpu and the agp slot....seee page 2-2 in manual.

There are known issues when using SATA1 and SATA2 when overclocking with this board. (data corruption)

Thanks for the info, I'm going to change it out tonight.

I am using Corsair 2-2-2-5 TWINX1024-3200XLPT memory, but am unable to make it work reliably using these SPD settings in CMOS? I try to run Prime95, even without overclocking, and it crashes with a hardware failure. Any ideas?

try backing off on the RAM timings.

try

2.5-3-3-6 2T at 2.7V

That board can be finicky with RAM.

What is the problem exactly with using the SATA 1&2 ports? I was trying to oc with and the disk fails to be detected when htt goes over 225 on my 3000+. Higer voltage on ram/vcore and conservative timings/frequency doesn't fix the problem.

What's the amperage rating on your 12v rail on the psu? Should be listed on the side of the power supply.
