MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum - Northbridge Fan replacement

I'm not sure if I want to buy the MSI because of the loud NB fan. I was just going to buy the Asus, which comes with passive cooling, but I ran across this.

People say the Zalman fits on the Neo2, except if you have an Arctic Cooling NV5, making the Heatsink too tall. Since I will have an NV5, this won't work unless I bend/cut the heatsink to make it shorter.

So I came across THIS, which is significantly shorter, but the length/width are also a bit different from the zalman.

Would I be able to fit the Alpha on the northbridge with the NV5 still above it? And will it cool the NB enough to have a stable/safe system?

Thanks

The NB fan is loud on the MSI Neo2 Plat? I don't notice mine at all. They might fail after time.

The board rocks though! It is fast and stable. Absolutely no problems with mine except for the minor user error.

I was curious about this as well. I am looking for another option too. I heard the zalmans hit the Vcard since the chip is so close to the AGP.

Let me know if you end up going passive + how it works out.
