There have been numerous posts on forums about issues with the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum and certain power supplies. I setup a system with this board and an Antec 350Watt (one that comes with the Antec SLK3700-BQE case). Proc is a 3500+ 939. 1 SATA drive. 1 CD/DVD writer. 1 floppy. 9700 Pro video card.

I have had a few strange freezes during boot up, and I wonder if it is the PSU issue referenced.

1. Any truth behind all of this. I am unclear.
2. What is a good alternative PSU? Looking for best bang for buck (no O/C to very modest O/C).

Thanks.

Its true....My Thermaltake Silent Purepower 560w did the same thing. After I set up the K8N Neo2 with an FX-53. I noticed my 6800GT(and it wasen't 100% even at defaults..) wouldn't OC anymore...alittle investigation showed the 12v pole making BIG dipps and ave. about 11.75v. The same PSU on my current setup (Abit IC7-G Max2 "Advance") is steady at 11.95v and you can see the nice GT OC :)
