I just got an MSI K8N Neo2 Plat. edition to replace my busted Asus A8V, and already I ran into some intriguing problems:

-It POSTs alright, but when it attempts to load the xp bootscreen, it justs reboots
-When I put the xp install cd in and rebooted, it won't read and go to xp setup.

I tried swapping the memories around and used different SATA connectors but nothing works.....help?

Edit: when starting windows in safe mode, boot fails after it tries to load a347bus.sys

The reason your XP is rebooting is that you had a different base SATA Controller (VIA Based) and now on the MSI NEO2 you have a NVIDIA Based controller. when XP boots it is trying to load the VIA Based driver and does NOT Have the NVIDIA Driver to load. There is a way out there to replace the driver manually, but I would not recommend that. Ok for the second part, make sure in the BIOS the CD is coming up as one of your devices, and also change the boot order to make the CD Boot first.
