MSI K8N Neo temp readings screwy?

Anyway, I've flashed the bios once recently and I've updated the utilities a few times. It seems that none of the temps and readings make any sense though. Prior to updating the CPU Core utility my cpu and system temps were reading 52C and 38C respectively. After updating the software the cpu temps went down to 44C, the system temp went to 0 and the northbridge temp went to 38C. I'm really skeptical of the cpu readings now. Would the bios readings be more accurate?

Anyone have any accurate readings on these?

I have an AMD A64 3400+ with no OC. It is in a fairly crowded Lian-Li PC-60 case with 3 case fans, an OCZ 450W power supply with single 120mm fan and a Thermalright XP-120 cooler.
