Maybe you should venture out of the video and motherboard forums cause alot of people have some pretty slow systems.

And I don't know how you define "high-end". For an enthusiast level PC, this is high end at the moment. Beyond buying an 64FX chip and doing SCSI raid, I'm pretty satisfyied with my box. Just waiting for my 6800U to get here. :)

I checked out your pics, you did a badass job with your wiring. Eventually when I have more time I plan on doing something more like that cause it really cleans up the wiring mess. I'm not one for water cooling, but your wiring job rocks. :)

I have the A64 3000+
Family - F
Model - C
Stepping 0

My temps are 43-44 c idle, 50-53c load with a TT Venus12. They seem pretty high to me.

I wasnt trying to be rude, just saying. Lots of people (well not lots of "real world" people have FX's and such now) have higher end stuff.

Thanks for the comment on the wiring.. Ive done another job of it, since my sig has older pics with my VNF. I now have the K8N Neo, and the placement was better, for the 12v, and SATA connector.

On topic... has anyone installed the beta 1.25 bios? Winflash doesnt work for me, it doesnt see it. It only does when I select show all files.

I just got miy Neo Platinum in Friday along with a 3000+ and a gig of Mushkin 3200. I went with the Mushkin that Newegg is selling at $77 (512MB). Booted up perfectly and is running flawlessly!

So far so good, haven't had time to really play but it is definately speedy and VERY smooth.

I once vowed to never use MSI again but they definately did pretty good on this board.

Hi all,

has anyone used the Corsair TWINX 1024-3200XL (2-2-2-5) memory on this board?

I am tossing up between the ASUS and this MSI, and one issue of the ASUS that I hear is that it doesn't like tight memory timings - what about the K8N Neo Plat.?

thanks

I have the TWINX 1024-3200XL PRO's...and I'm be happy to let you know how they work if I ever get my #$%@ OS loaded. Posted fine but loading XP Pro it hangs at license agreement (F8 prompt) every time (have to power down to get out of it). I've tweaked, changed, and re-changed settings, checked and rechecked cables, jumpers, mobo clearance; cleared CMOS, made new boot disks for the SATA, and I'm stumped. Tried Tech Support but hit the Holiday. I hope it'll work.

Waterblocked it (T at 37C no load for hours) so no heat issues.

I DO get that keylock error on post when I changed settings to see about that issue...someone else asked about it earlier in this thread. I'm running a USB/PS2 (plain Logitech Elite/MX510) keyboard/mouse and I've tried 'em in all the available USB's..and it results in can't hit F10 to save and exit BIOS...have to manually TAB to the function...using the PS2 connectors eliminated having to TAB so maybe there's some driver issues there also.
