Just so that people thinking of buying this mobo are not misled, the msi k8n board is not shipped with the wireless/bluetooth card mentioned in all the reviews. Until recently the msi adverts listed the card in the specifications for the board. MSI have been hastily updating the web sites, but these pages still have the misleading advert:
http://msicomputer.co.uk/Produ...ct_id=703526&cat_id=77
http://www.msi-computer.fr/ind..._produit=9&id_prod=291

MSI have not included the cards, and now say that we will have to pay to get them. They have put up an image of two product labels for the motherboard:
http://diamondclub.msi.com.tw/...ead.php?tid=44&fpage=1
The product label that lists the wifi card is obviously photoshopped from the image that doesn't have the card. I believe that MSI have created this image as they do not have any motherboards boxed with the wifi cards in yet, and are trying to make us beleve that we have not been misled by their advertisements.

The creative sound on the motherboard will not work if your power supply does not have a -5v connection.

The silicon image raid controller does not work.

Apart from these problems the motherboard is excellent. MSI have successfully irritated all the early purchasers of this board with their misleading adverts. If you purchase this expensive board you will have to pay extra for wireless/bluetooth, may have to purchase a new powersupply that has a -5v connection, and will have to wait for MSI to get a correct driver for the silicon image SATA controller.

Been looking at this board for quite sometime. Went into the diamondclub forums and realize problems after problems persist with this board. On top of that living in the US doesn't help either. ATACOM has it listed, been emailing them and the sales person doesn't even know if it's the Neo4 Platinum/SLI or the Diamond. I guess it's the Neo4 Platinum/SLI. Still no reply from ATACOM also.

I think I'll back away from MSI for now. If I'm no mistaken I think both the boards are similar specwise, so I guess the Platinum/SLI would have the same problems like the Diamond....any insight?

Might look into DFI. but still waiting to see if the DFI NF4 boards are compatible with the Zalman 7700-Cu.

I posted the two images over at the MSI forums, pointing out that they are obviously faked via photoshop. The images are too perfectly matched to be two seperate shots of two different boxes. MSI must think we are all stupid or something.

zamarra33--atacom's listing of this board is questionable. MSI wasn't supposed to market the Diamond in the US. Which may account for the extrodinarily high price.

This seems to be the current model choices available in the UK(when stocked),lol I like the way MSI are being sneaky with their wording,

The accessories will probably be different according to the different sales areas or product models. For detail of accessories, please refer to the directions in the product package
.

When I`m buying a motherboard I like to know what`s exactly included etc.....

Mem--did you look at the photos that MSI posted concerning the inclusion of the "Dual Net Card." The pics are exactly the same. Where the one box sku is an obvious retouch of the same photo.

I was hanging out for the Diamond, but have decided to go with the lesser board the K8N Platinum SLI

I still get
SB Live
Active Armor
SLI

I don't get
Wifi Bluetooth - but no one is getting that anyway
Second Gig LAN - I don't need second port
Silicon Image SATA controller - but its broken anyway

So its cheaper and missing the broken SATA controller , 1 LAN Jack and the Wifi adapter is not bundled but by the sounds of things you will be able to buy it seperatly if you really want it. all round a much better deal.

It seams these Tawanise manufactures will sell you anything if the can make a buck out of it.
