I've been checking ZZF all day. Looks like they moved the date on both boards again. "Getting" out of control---it's been out of control.

Hate to say it, but MSI just lost some bizz on two of the builds I have to do, (both are SLI and the buyers wanted the MSI boards---they won't wait any longer on the MSI boards though). Just ordered two more Asus boards to take care of them. Oh well!

At least they lowered the prices on the MSI boards by $20 - that's a good thing.

Btw... is there an ultra board made by Asus or just the SLI ones?

The Ultra is the K8N Neo4 Platinum. They are listed at MSI USA now. ZZF has both versions listed, the SLI and the Ultra, but the picture of the Ultra board ZZF is using is wrong.

Instead of the two 16x PCI-E for SLI, it has one 16X and one 4x, but can still do a form of sli.
Two marvel giglan instead of NV giglan/marvel giglan on the SLI.
The SLI also has Creative 24bit audio, the Ultra has RealTek ALC850.

Here's a link to the correct Ultra---> K8N Neo4 Platinum

Nope the Diamond is the deluxe SLI board and there is a Platinum SLI board (does not have the WLAN.Bluetooth adapter included) as well as a plain old Platinum (Non SLI Ultra board)

A couple of shops here in Germany are showing stock on these boards so it shouldn't be much longer before they hit the U.S. as well.

First of all
this is the K8n Neo4 Platinum http://www.msicomputer.com/pro..._Platinum&class=mb

this is the K8n Neo4 Platinum/SLI
http://www.msicomputer.com/pro...tinum/SLI&class=mb

The k8n neo4 platinum uses the NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra
The k8n neo4 platinum/sli uses the NVIDIA nForce4 SLI

but then you are wondering whats the K8N Neo4 Diamond
the k8n neo4 diamond = k8n platinum/sli with some minor differences
the reason for this is that the the Neo4 platinum/sli is to be sold in the US
and the diamond is to be sold to the rest of the world

To clear one thing up once and for all.

The diamond board is called "MSI K8N Diamond" period. thier is no board called K8N Neo4 Diamond

A few sites re listing the MSI K8N Diamond incorrectly, this will be where the confusion has risen.

Not trying to start a rumor at all, but has anyone heard of a recall of some sort on these boards? It seems suspicious that these big resellers would keep changing the date so frequently...especially with such high demand. Frustrating as hell. :|

Well, that's only a bump to Friday---the shortest of the six date changes. Maybe there is a little light at the end of the tunnel after all. ;)
