MSI K7T Turbo Memory Issue

Hi,

I have recently picked up the K7T Turbo (no raid). It has behaved for the most part, but I have noticed one problem. There is about an 18 second delay after the processor posts and the memory test begins. Has anyone experienced this? I have tried different types of RAM, but all have behaved the same. This delay is present in both the v2.4 and b16 bios.

On a side note, is there any word on a new overclocker's bios for the turbo that support its ESCD hardware? I keep on getting "UNKOWN FLASH TYPE" error while starting up.

Any input is much appreciated.

dun really know how to solve that memory thing... i dun have that problem...
flashed to the overclocker bios too, have that same "unknown flash type" message, but everything works fine on my system...

there is a fix for that message, you need to clear the cmos and use the \nfs switch. look for the 100+ post thread on that board and you should see what im talking about, dont take my word for it regarding the switch cuz im not 100% positive.
