MSI K7T Turbo LE + Athlon 1.4 = A good combo?

Alright, I've finally decided to upgrade my aging P3/450. I haven't done anything with AMD since the 486 age, so I'm in need of some assistance.

Right now, I'm thinking of picking up an MSI K7T Turbo Limited Edition from Newegg for ~$99.00

Top it off with one of their Athlon 1.4 (Retail) for ~$114 (or $107 for OEM plus money for the HS/F).

Right now, I have 256 MB of PC133 Mushkin RAM that I bought a while back for my curren AOpen AX6BC. Would it be safe to assume that I should buy something else? Or could I reuse it?

I'm going to move my Adaptec 2940U2W plus my main IBM 18.2 UW drive to the new system, leaving behind an 8 gig SCSI drive. I'll pick up a 30-40 gig ATA100 drive at the same time, but I haven't picked one out yet.

After that, it'll be my Hercules GeForce II MX, my (original) Sound Blaster Live, two NICs, and my WinTV 401.

Good setup? Or should I go with a different motherboard?

Yes, it's a good combo... I have a 1333 T-Bird and the K7T Turbo LE

awesome board, awesome CPU... go for it if that's what you want..

DDR is faster but sitting here on this sys I can't really see why anyone wants to spend extra on something even faster... it's soo quick !

My sys has 512 MB of Crucial CAS2 PC133 and a Diamond Max+60 30GIG drive... it flies!!

pick it up and enjoy the cool red PCB too!
