I just setup a system with the PRo2a and everything seems fine but one little annoying thing. Whenever I close a window while using Winamp the music would pause for a sec and the HD would click as if its writing something.

Anyone have any ideas?

Turn on DMA? Have the latest VIA drivers? Use IDETOOL to check that you're running at ATA/100? Increase the buffer length in Winamp?

Try those...

you could try the newest BIOS V2.2

1. This is the AWARD(r) BIOS version 2.2 release.
2. This BIOS fixes the following problems of the previous version:
-Patch some mother board hard disk access error when use 686B.
3. 2001/01/11
