Search feature does work! ;)

Draco, thanks a lot for the link. Was wondering why my files were transferring so slow as compared to my old computer...

Haven't really tested out the new setup yet, but I can feel a speed increase already... but damn, system tray is getting a little cluttered. Damn Via icon is the ugliest thing I've ever seen... but function over form right?

by the way... the Via BM Ultra DMA Channel, two of them replaced my older primary and secondary ide channels... that looks fine, but are my drives under DVD/CD-Rom drives and Disk drives suppose to read as SCSI disk devices? I'm new to NT/2000... even the Control Panel had me confused at first...

Controllers for ATA-100 are listed as SCSI devices in Device Manager. Sounds like you have these drivers successfully installed. I share your musings re: System tray icons...lol. No go to it, son!

I"m assuming, by what has been written that since I am running Windows 98 I won't need to upgrade the ATA driver from Soltek's site as that is only necessary if you are running Win2K. Am I correct in that assumption?
