If it is the ATA100 version then it is the Pro2a, not the Pro2... The Pro2 has the 686A southbridge, while the Pro2a has the 686B, adding ATA100 support.. Not a big deal, but something to consider..

Rather go for the Pro 2a ...i've tried both and the ATA 100 controller on the pro 2 blows. Spend the extra on the 2A with the 686B chip.

DO NOT BUY FROM Monarch Computer

I ordered the K7T-Pro2a from them on Dec 1, and have not received it yet. I was charged on Dec 6.

They are going to get one HUGE flame from me on Resellerratings.

They also failed to respond to my request for tracking information.

Monarch Computer was fine for me.

First of all the my MC was one of only a few stores that had the MSI K7T Pro-2a in stock at the time.
Second I got the MB, CPU, and HS combo (Pre tested) for about $20 less than other stores.
Third I forgot to order a floppy and called their CSR, he would up giving my the floppy for FREE ($15 value and
Fourth I recieved the order only 3 days after placing it with regular UPS ground.

I am sorry to hear you had problems but remember this is the Christmas season and it will take longer. Try calling their CSR and I am sure you will hang up saticfied. And if you play your cards right you may get a free floppy!

uhh... play your cards right to get a free floppy??? hahahaahaaha.. that has GOT to be the funniest thing i've heard in a while... hahahaha.

If i was charged for a product that wasn't shipped, i'd want more than a floppy... not that i'd get more, but it feels good to yell at fools who charge yur card too early.

You are right DC. I checked the Onvia Manufacturer's Number and it matches the manual for my Pro-2a. This is the lowest price out there. Get it while you can.

you guys might wanna check out the posts on the Mobo forum here at AT, seems the Pro2A has some bugs on it that MSI hasn't been able to fix yet.

p.s. i don't know with you, but there's hardly any difference in speed comparing DMA/100 and /66

I am holding a Pro2-A board in my hand as I type this. The manual says my board is MS-6330 rev 1.0E and that the change for revision E was the VT82C686A to VT82C686B. The board at Onvia is revision C so it is not the Pro2-A but is the Pro2.
I got mine from 1look.com before they sold out.

So is this and MSI K7T Pro 2?? is a 2a better than a 2? I was going to order this...but now i'm just confused whether to get this one or not. Is this still compatible with Tbird 1ghz?
And are there problems with the 2a that there aren't with the 2's? Sorry..but after reading this thread...i'm lost! :)

I have to cool all this flame for monarchcomputers.com. They must be extremely busy or something because I got mine within the time frame they stated. I ordered mine 11/29 and got it on 12/3.

And another thing about the MSI k7t pro2a having bugs. SOMEmay have bugs but most are working great. My computer's ROCK STABLE in win98 (WIN98!!!). I have yet to meet a blue screen of death after 2 weeks of use.

If this is the same board on Onvia as it is at Monarch, go with Onvia cause returning/exchanging it is hassle free!

That part number (MS-6330 1.0C) IS the K7T Pro 2-A according the MSI's German site. I don't know why MSI doesn't have that part number on their Taiwan site.

BTW, the part number you really need to keep your eyes peeled out for is MS-6330 v3.0B. That's the part number of the upcoming K7T Turbo (K7T Pro 2-A with the KT133A) that'll let you run your Durons and T-Birds at a 133MHz FSB.

Two days ago, Onvia canceled my order for K7T Pro 2, which I ordered for $85 with the $25 off coupon quite some time ago when it was back ordered. They said that they won't be getting it for quite sometime. Two days later, they are showing in stock.

In a meantime, I ordered it from Allstarshop.com for $127 (with shipping & CA tax), which was yeasterday. Of course, Allstar is such a good company, so they shipped the board the same day, and I got the board from their location in Laguna, CA trhe next day.

Also, I ordered T-bird 1.1Ghz from Onvia yesterday morning for $257 shipped instead of Buy.com, when the status was showing In Stock. I called them today to confirm if mine was going to be shipped because their inventory status had changed to Out of Stock today. Well, they said that mine won't be shipped, and my order was going to be canceled automatically. Without any choice, I ordered one from Buy.com for $287 (shipping & CA tax) which could have been $30 less with a coupon which expired yesterday, if I had chosen Buy.com instead of Onvia.

Onvia inventory status has been driving me crazy. They have a very bad control of what they have and what & when they will be getting their stock.

I could have gotten my K7T Pro2 (a) & T-bird 1.1Ghz for $342 shipped. In stead, I ended up spending $414 shipped including a good $28 contribution to the state of California.

I used to love Onvia with their fat coupons and good customer services. However, ever since they changed their back ordered policy and started canceling orderd without asking us, they have been screwing my mind and my buying strategy. I have to say I do not feel as confident ordering from Onvia as I used to.

One more thing, Allstarshop.com is a pretty good place. Their inventory is pretty accurate, and they have always shipped stuff the same day if you ordered it in the morning. They stock new motherboards pretty early. Especially, if you do not live in California, without paying tax, their prices are pretty good.
