MSI K7 Pro not booting problem

Well I decided to add 256 Mb of RAM today to my existing 128Mb, sounds easy enough and has never been a problem before, WRONG. After installing the RAM and booting up the computer, it started to freak out with mystery beeps and lights fashing on the MSI light diagnosic system. So I rebooted on good fashion and this time the memory test was fine and got all the way to windows 98 and gave a memory detection error. So I decided to back track and take out the new memory stick and just leave the old previously working great stick of memory. Nows where it gets weird. Upon rebooting nothing would work and I mean nothing, nothing on the montior appears, Not even a BIOS screen. Just like 5 to 8 beeps and weird modem like sounds. the light diagnostic seems to regularly stop at 1001. I've tried clearing the CMOS but no luck. I'm stumped. Bad mobo, or cpu?? I have no idea.

I have tried both RAM sticks in all different configurations. It still just starts beeping and than nada, not even getting to the BIOS screen.
 
Sounds like a power problem maybe? Double check your connections. My Pro2a multiplier doesn't wanna work and if I try the way posted on the web it makes noises just like you describe but will reboot on the second try at default....So possibly you have a loose power connection or maybe power supply going bad?
 
Well I figured it out. New Ram = Bad RAM. The new RAM I purchased was bad, so with that in mind when I went to boot the video memory had no place to go, thus the 1 long, and 8 short beeps signaling that there was a display problem and why I couldn't see the BIOS screen. The bad memory caused a mix up in the memory table so the video card couldn't find its normal lcations.
The Fix:
put your old previously working RAM back in and remove the bogus new RAM. reboot here. Then remove and reseat your video card and you should be in business. reboot. The video card has to reintialize itself back into the memory table but the memory table has to be good or working for this to happen. Weird stuff.
