Looking for some opinions and maybe a little choice advice. I'm still in some planning stages of a new rig (as my current one is very much showing its age). As I'm in need of more a workstation than a gaming rig, I've been tossing around many motherboard choices and trying to find one that would really be best for my situation. MSI's H97 Guard-Pro appealed to me in its expansion layout (don't need more than one video card, but the multiple available PCI-E x1 slots would be helpful for add-on devices I plan to eventually purchase) and overall features. The price is nice as well. Thing is, I've seen very little in terms of reviews or opinions on the motherboard, so there's some hesitation on my part.

If anyone has some food for thought on this or has had experience with this motherboard, any input would be quite helpful. Even alternatives are welcome to be suggested, if you have any. Thanks ahead of time, folks.
