Caveat, it's quiet because the fan curve is very conservative. Using EVGA Precision on my EVGA branded card, it starts at 40% and rarely ever goes past 50%, even when it edges into 80C territory. I have my EVGA OC'd to 675MHz core, 1150MHz memory, and 1350MHz shader and sometimes I start to see minor artifacting at higher temps.
Above 50%, the fan noise starts to ramp up very quickly.

I do have to say... It's interesting how, there is no pressing need for many of us to upgrade to better cards these days. I remember how in the past, I was literally FORCED to upgrade my video card every two years and sometimes even more often because new games would demand it. But lately, this has never been the case. My 8800 GTS in sig is still going very strong, especially when OC'd, easily able to handle almost every single game out there with max eye candy except for maybe Crysis and GTAIV, which I can scale down to lower res on my monitor and still play at max settings for that res. I am almost trying to find an excuse to upgrade, because my video card is nearing 3 years old, but there is simply no need!

Hot deal, but I'm waiting for one of these cards (260 or the HD4870) to hit $150 before rebate, and then pass my card on to my son. My current HD4830 can play everything I've tried pretty easily, though, so I may just wait and see what Diablo 3 is going to take.

$160 AR is HOT

I have this card bought a week too early, $189.99 AR :'(. Anyways not a bad price for what I got it for. You must use the eVGA precision tool with this card or it runs HOT. Fan speed is locked at 40% default otherwise.

Several reviews mentioned jacking up fan speed considerably - in their opinion it was still quiet.

I seem to remember having trouble finding anything that was specifically called "invoice". Which is why I included all possible numbers and the packing slip.
For arguments sake say I didn't follow their instructions to the letter. There is absolutely no doubt that they new the item was purchased fair and square, and went out of their way to deny the claim ($15 mind you). Hence the warning - if theY can screw you - they will screw you. I choose to boycott heir company. I hope others will join me...
BTW: I've received rebates from Corsair x3, Zerotherm x2, PNY - ultra fast with the cash, Logitech, Canon, Maxtor, ect. Never a problem until now.
