I'm wondering if anyone had the same problems as me with the MSI Geforce2 Pro. The problem happens in Diablo 2 when the screen becomes very dark and slightly distorted and also in Counterstrike where my monitor shuts down to power save mode when I exit.. forcing me to reboot.
I'm thinking the solution to solve this is to reformat the computer since I've just upgraded from:
P3 600EB
Soyo motherboard
Diamond Stealth III S540
256 Kingston PC133
No name 250W PSU
to:
AMD Thunderbird 1.4 AYHJA Y
Epox 8k7a
MSI Geforce2 Pro
512 DDR
Sparkle 350W
I've already installed the Detonator 12.41 drivers and didn't touch the core/mem settings. The problem seems to occur when switching resolutions. My computer is set at 1024x768 and Diablo 2 plays at 800x600 while Counterstrike plays at 1024x768 but is set at another res in the Menu. Maybe somehow the old config files and settings are conflicting with the new config? Anyone have any idea?
