I just noticed a vendor with this motherboard for sale. It's compatible with the Core 2 Duo processors.
Anyone know anything about it? Do you think it will overclock as well as the Asus?

well guys, i just decided to order this board. it seems the the DS3 is having wayyyyyyy to many early problems with Conroe and this sucker supports Kentsfield

i dont think so. But Kentsfield wasnt the reason why i bought this board anyway. Just outta curosity, why do you think this wont support KF?

The gigabyte offering is much more unsable based in teh reviews i have been reading with all the memory problems and what not.

Rather than going through all that hassle, i perfer to pay an extra $40 and get the 975 offering with no reported problems.

Hey Corporate Thug, if u dont mind when u receive the board please post back with some personal feedback, thanks.

Also what are u pairing it up with? e6300/6400/6600/ram/etc.etc.

I also Just ordered this board.....
got it with a E6600, X1900XT, 2GB corsair XMS DDR2 800, coolermaster case, 620W OCZ PSU.

When I get the parts, I'll be sure to benchmark it and post what I get, considering there is mininal to zero information on this board anywhere out there.

Just to let you guys know, I ordered the MSI from ewave about 3 days ago ( there were/are selling it for 175 ) and I just got it and it is the powerup edition ( website doesnt say ). I looked at the board and its ver 2.1.

Just wondering what the hell is that molex connector by the first PCI-E slot for?

Extra juice to the vid cards.

Look at the Xtremesystems thread on the MSI 975. Apparently, they are hitting fsb walls, even though Coolaler from those boards used ES to hit massive OCs on it.
