MSI 7950 artifact/glitch at stock

oh and is it possible that the heatsink wasn't seated properly out of the box? Because as I remember 1 of the reasons I took the heatsink off to re apply TIM was the glitching. I thought maybe they did a super squirt who gives a #$#% TIM application and maybe got it on something and that was causing it.

Bump. I bought an msi 7950 twin frozr and getting artifacts in black ops that pop up in very quick flashes. I'm using a 120 Hz monitor and I think the artifacts are showing more prominently.

Try vsync? Is it artifacts or screen tearing?

there's a huge thread over on guru 3d and driver section. a lot of people are having the same artifacts. maybe others are not aware of the artifacts. they flash on the screen for less than a second. some people may be less sensitive to it.
